As we have already known that next year 2009, the general election, a party of democracy, will be held to obtain the Indonesian leaders either for the presidency or the legislatives.

Many prospective candidates are now preparing for this event by spreading propaganda to their constituents in their election area, especially for the legislatives. They are advertising their selves through many kinds of media : television, newspaper, blog, websites and radio. The main objective of this effort is to open the public awarness and vision about the candidate’s capability, prospectiveness, planning if elected, etc. In a simple word, they want to say : “Choose me !! Choose me since I will advance your life, your degree, your career, etc. I will.. I will.. I will bla bla bla if elected”.

However, in the real situation, many Indonesian people are not interested in those promises. They consider that what the candidates said is only a lie. There will be no facts could be realized if they are successful in the election. Consequently, public are deciding to not participated in the general election. 

But the problem may appear is how come our country “wakes up” without the leaders? And the answer would be : how come we trust them with their thousands promises? This is the complex problem that should be solved in the near future.

I hope that somedays, there will be many leaders who are care to the Indonesian people problem without any inside purposes. To be a leader is hard. It needs many experiences and ofcourse time : to learn, to listen and to understand.
